Defense Operations Assistant, Mid The Opportunity As a Defense Operations Assistant, you understand the nuances of complex situations. As a Defense Operations Assistant on our team, you’ll bring your planning, execution, and communications expertise to work on projects supporting the U.S. Army. You’ll support executive engagements, facilitate preparations and execution of meetings, and draft communications for senior leadership. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients and set the battle rhythm for executing tasks to ensure successful operations.

You Have

3+ years of experience with the DoD

2+ years of experience providing onsite support

Experience developing executive communications and facilitating in-person and virtual meetings

Experience managing conflicts, action items, and issues, and consolidating information for clients, teammates, and leadership

Ability to translate technical language to various audiences

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have

Experience executing the action and staff officer role on a Joint Staff, Service, or Agency-level headquarters staff, including at the Battalion, Brigade, or Company Commander level

Experience in a research environment

Knowledge of U.S. Army or DoD processes and policies

Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Work Model
