Line Of Business Personal & Commercial Banking
Job Description The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison delivering TD’s Brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with banking solutions/needs. The role contributes to business objectives, driving growth through identifying appropriate TD solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth & Scope
Proficient in products, services and routine transactions to identify opportunities to educate on Bank products and services.
Broad knowledge and understanding of full product suite, services and processes of business area.
Establishes and nurtures Customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge and listening to needs.
Makes product recommendations based on Customer needs and highlights product features and benefits.
Utilizes Customer relationship management tools to proactively manage customer assessments and outbound sales activities.
Independently resolves customer issues, errors and problems, escalating when necessary.
Builds working relationships and explains detailed or complicated information.
Participates in customer outreach, servicing and advice activities to deliver on our human promise.
Engages in conversations about loan products, facilitates application intake.
Maintains an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
Education & Experience
HS Diploma or GED.
1+ years of experience working with customers and/or sales.
Teller experience preferred.
Must complete teller training upon hire to take customer transactions.
Experience educating customers on products and services preferred.
Organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication skills—concise, clear, and consistent.
Ability to schedule and prioritize work.
Works independently and meets deadlines.
Sound judgment and effective problem‑solving.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Notary License is preferred.
