What Work You Will Be Responsible For

Build from the ground up a major SEC‑listed non‑traded REIT

Build and maintain relationships with one or more clients, managing client expectations, and meeting all client deliverables

Manage and review the daily cash, accounting and financial reporting for the REIT

Prepare and review financial statements including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, stockholder equity, statement of cash flows

Prepare and review general ledger and work paper files including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, etc.

Prepare and review the day‑to‑day operations of the REIT

Prepare required monthly share class pricing

Help manage quarterly, year‑end audit process and support external auditors and tax teams with requested financials

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field is required

Financial statement preparation experience – including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement

Experience with NAV calculations, including management and performance fee calculations

Joint Venture / Non‑controlling Interest experience

Working knowledge of derivatives, interest rate swaps, credit default swaps

Loan, tax lien, MSR experience

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

CPA, CFA or parts passed towards completion

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field

Experience using Yardi including Fixed Asset, Debt module

Preferred Location New York

Salary Information For NYC and California, the expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $150,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
