This is not a traditional estimator role — and it is not a quota‑carrying sales job. This role sits inside the sales cycle, where design, pricing, and speed matter. You will design AV systems, build quotes, and support active opportunities as they move toward close. Your work directly impacts whether deals are won — and whether they’re profitable. What You’ll Do
Design audio, video, conferencing, and control systems
Build accurate, competitive quotes that support the sales process
Own pricing, labor modeling, scope definition, and estimate assumptions
Review drawings, specifications, and site information — and call out gaps early
Partner closely with inside and outside sales to support active opportunities
Balance speed and accuracy — deals don’t wait, but bad estimates cost money
Deliver clean, buildable proposals that operations can execute
Improve estimating tools, templates, and pricing accuracy over time
What We Expect From You
3+ years in AV systems estimating, pre‑sales design, or technical sales support
Strong working knowledge of audio, video, and control systems
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications independently
Strong communication skills — you can explain technical decisions clearly
Comfortable operating in a deadline‑driven, sales‑adjacent environment
Willingness to own your work and its outcomes
Experience working with general contractors, architects, or engineers
Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or estimating platforms
