We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our vibrant team in the construction industry. This is a full‑time position that offers you the opportunity to join a fast‑paced, rapidly growing environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will play an integral role in accurately preparing the company's financial records and performance, working closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal compliance, process accounts payable/receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.
Salary $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of day‑to‑day bookkeeping and accounting processes including A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
Conduct job costing, providing critical financial input to the management for decision‑making.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports or snapshots, assisting with financial forecasting.
Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
Review and process expense reports and credit card charges.
Assist with financial and tax audits.
Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting, including preparing financial statements and liaising with the company's auditors as required.
Perform billing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Handle special projects as assigned by the management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
Solid understanding of the HVAC and plumbing industry.
Strong knowledge of job costing and billing procedures.
Proficiency in Sage Intacct and other accounting software.
Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including GAAP.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑service orientation.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Comfortable handling confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
