Job Overview Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to join our team in Mission Bend, Texas. This permanent position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
CPA is required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven working experience as a Controller or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
Strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
