Billing Specialist – Transportation & Logistics (On-Site | Gastonia, NC) Highways & Skyways Transportation LLC is a trusted regional trucking and logistics company based in Gastonia, NC. We’re growing and looking to add a
detail‑oriented Billing Specialist
to our accounting team.
About the Role This position plays a critical role in keeping our billing accurate, timely, and customer‑focused. The ideal candidate has experience in transportation billing, enjoys working with numbers, and thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Schedule
Full‑Time (40 hours/week)
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On‑site only – Gastonia, NC
Key Responsibilities
Match driver paperwork with the correct loads in our TMS
Prepare and send customer invoices (manual or via customer portals)
Set up new customer accounts in the TMS
Process carrier invoices and verify factoring companies or remittance details
Monitor payment status and assist with light collections
Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and internal teams
Qualifications
Minimum
2 years of billing or accounting experience
preferably in transportation or logistics
Proficient in
Microsoft Excel
and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
Supply Vision TMS experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
What We Offer

$15.50–$17.00/hour (based on experience)
