Pay Range Base pay: $120,000 - $165,000 per year (DOE). Actual pay based on experience.

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on

Controller

to lead and strengthen our finance function during a period of sustained growth. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, brings international finance experience, and enjoys building scalable processes while remaining engaged in day‑to‑day operations.

Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Operations

Lead and supervise accounting and financial services staff across day‑to‑day accounting, weekly payment cycles, and month‑end and year‑end close.

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.

Monitor actual spending against budgets and communicate variances to senior leadership.

Prepare and analyze financial reports including cash‑flow forecasts, balance sheets, income statements, project progress reports, and overhead analyses.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and internal controls.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Develop and implement internal controls to reduce risk related to errors, omissions, and fraud.

Stay informed on evolving tax laws, financial markets, and industry trends.

Strategic & Project Finance

Partner with operations leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and project‑level cost reporting.

Analyze variances between projected and actual results by project.

Assist with reviewing estimates, owner billings, and financial performance metrics.

Manage organizational debt and support loan renegotiations and financial agreements.

Systems & Process Improvement

Leverage ERP, accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, payroll, and business intelligence tools to improve efficiency.

Identify and implement process improvements to support scalability and international operations.

Develop, mentor, and train finance team members.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non‑financial audiences.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred

10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.

CPA or a similar professional certification.

Experience supporting international operations, including multi‑currency and cross‑border finance.

Deep knowledge of GAAP, corporate taxation, internal controls, and cash management.

Strong project management and financial analysis capabilities.

Software & Technical Skills

QuickBooks Online experience required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.

VOIP phone system familiarity preferred.
