Overview As an independent claims adjuster, you will help individuals and businesses recover from unforeseen disasters, assess damage, evaluate claims, and negotiate settlements to ensure fair and timely outcomes.
Responsibilities
Investigate property or casualty claims to determine coverage, liability, and loss amounts.
Inspect damage sites and interview involved parties to gather relevant information.
Prepare detailed claim reports, including calculations and supporting documentation.
Negotiate settlement offers with adjusters, attorneys, and policyholders.
Maintain accurate records of all claim activities.
Qualifications
Valid state‑licensed claims adjuster with a minimum of 100 completed claims, or a willingness to obtain licensure.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
