Model Based Systems Engineer

We are seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our USMC contract out of Quantico, VA. MANTECH assists Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) in ensuring that material solutions are engineered, integrated, interoperable, and certified to provide the warfighter with the equipment required to accomplish their mission. We conduct detailed systems engineering analysis, establish technical policies, and manage the technical investigation and distributed planning needed to deliver world‑class Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) capabilities.
Responsibilities
Lead MBSE‑related technical and strategy discussions resulting in timely delivery of model artifacts for program decision‑making.
Develop digital engineering models and Marine Corps‑compliant systems engineering artifacts.
Participate in multiple systems engineering projects and accurately represent stakeholder interests.
Consolidate and report project status updates and issues.
Provide technical support to MBSE development projects, including communicating Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events.
Prepare and maintain technical systems or program documentation, integrated master schedules, comment‑resolution matrices, presentations, and training materials.
Plan, coordinate, and participate in MBSE meetings and events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific, Engineering, or Technical area and at least 6 years of digital engineering or model‑based systems engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of Cameo System of Systems Architect or other MBSE tools.
Familiarity with one or more of the following: UML, SysML, UAF, UPDM, BPMN, IDEF.
Ability to think critically, problem‑solve, and influence others to achieve desired results for the project.
Capable of working collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation and strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Marine Corps systems engineering processes, including the relationship between MCSC, DC, and CD&I.
Familiarity with the MCSC Acquisition Guidebook.
Knowledge of Marine Corps concepts, practices, procedures, systems, and interfaces.
OMG‑Certified SysML Professional (OCSMP) or SysML Model Builder Certification (Fundamental, Intermediate, or Advanced).
Clearance Requirements
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co‑workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communication.
