Configuration Management Support, Senior F-16 WAM (Secret)
We are looking for an experienced Configuration Management professional to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center WAM (AFLCMC/WAM) directorate, F‑16 division at Hill Air Force Base, UT.
F‑16 “Viper” AFLCMC/WAM is a multi‑role fighter jet delivering air‑to‑air, air‑to‑ground, and surveillance capabilities for the United States Air Force (USAF) and coalition partners. The program includes Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and the Multi‑National Fighter Program (MNFP).
Responsibilities
Support and participate as a member of the F‑16 Configuration Control Process (CCP) which controls changes to the F‑16 weapon system.
Receive, track and distribute CM documentation for the CCP processes, including JMCCT/B, Modification Screening Panel (MSP) and Fielding Decision (FD).
Review CM proposals for adequacy and update the Single Thread Tracking System (STTS) as needed.
Perform CCP secretariat functions: prepare packages for review meetings, distribute materials, consolidate comments, maintain action‑item log, prepare detailed minutes and ensure resolution of outstanding items.
Assist in reviewing and updating the CCP membership/charter semi‑annually.
Support Technical Review (TR) coordination: facilitate meetings, prepare briefing charts, set up facilities and act as lead facilitator.
Help IPTs implement CM processes in conjunction with the PM; develop milestones, assess risks, create WBS, perform interface and class determinations.
Control temporary T‑1 and T‑2 modifications in compliance with AFI 63‑131.
Maintain official file of all configuration control activities, including CCP, TR, ECPs and OCRs.
Manage changes to the Viper Change Management (VCM) tool, coordinate with system administrators and provide VCM training.
Obtain and maintain required accounts/access to STTS, VCM, SWEAP, EDCS, Lotus Notes, FIN and other applications.
Assist in scheduling and facilitating MSPs and ensuring proper documentation is generated and approved.
Support audit‑related CM tasks, including FCAs and PCAs, by reviewing technical information and participating in audit meetings.
Requirements
Active secret clearance.
Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience in the relevant technical/professional discipline, at least 5 of those in DoD, or
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 12 years of experience in the relevant discipline, with 5 years in the DoD, or
15 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications as described in the PWS, with 8 years in the DoD.
Specialized experience in fighter aircraft maintenance or CM commensurate with skill level.
