Systems Administrator II Hybrid within Oregon, Idaho or Utah.

Who We Are Looking For Every day, Cambia’s dedicated team of Systems Administrators live our mission to make health care easier and lives better. As a member of the IT Operations team, the Systems Administrator II position participates in a team environment for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of new and existing computer systems, operating systems, and software applications, under the direction or coaching of senior team members. This role requires strong technical, interpersonal, and administrative skills for day‑to‑day work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field; additional experience may substitute for education.

Minimum of 3 years experience in the implementation, operations, maintenance of IT systems and/or administration of software functions in multi‑platform environments.

Proficient understanding of design, implementation and sustainment activities of Information Technology systems.

Familiarity with infrastructure management techniques such as change, problem, release, configuration management and system lifecycle.

Understanding of Microsoft and/or UNIX/Linux environments and core business applications.

Ability to develop efficient program and system solutions for light to medium complex business problems.

Ability to automate tasks and document them for others.

Experience diagnosing and resolving system performance problems or outages.

Technical proficiency in core technologies and methodologies used by the team.

Adaptability to rapidly changing technologies and ability to apply them to technological or business needs.

Experience upgrading hardware, operating system software and third‑party software.

Ability to plan and document medium to large product upgrades.

Experience with Disaster Recovery, including scripting and testing for operating systems, third‑party software and storage recovery.

Project management skills and ability to deliver projects successfully on time.

Strong time‑allocation forecasting for project completion.

Effective verbal and written communication with coworkers and management at all levels.

Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision‑making highly desired.

What You Will Do

Demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft Windows Server in virtualized environments; Red Hat Linux experience is a plus.

Improve, automate, and optimize the existing environment using industry standard tools.

Manage service request queues, triage, prioritize, and resolve customer issues promptly, escalating problems as appropriate.

Install, configure, and maintain computing systems and support software including hardware setup, OS installation, patches, and performance tuning.

Monitor system health to ensure maximum availability and reliability through proactive troubleshooting and maintenance.

Research and resolve software and hardware issues with vendor and support team collaboration.

Adhere to technical and architecture standards while providing status reports, work estimates, and time tracking.

Share technical knowledge to improve team performance and system efficiency, including mentoring.

Administer integration of licensed and in‑house applications through scripting and configuration management.

Prepare comprehensive documentation including system, operational, and user guides.

Drive process improvements, stay current with industry trends, and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Work Environment

Primarily performed in an office environment.

May require travel for on‑site activities, meetings, or conferences.

Participation in on‑call and off‑hours work as necessary.

Salary & Benefits The expected hiring range for a Systems Administrator II is $71,000 – $89,000 per year, with a bonus target of 10%. The full salary range for this role is $71,000 – $116,000 per year.
