Learn About a Day in the Life of a Monitor Technician This position will provide continuous observation and associated documentation of cardiac telemetry monitors in the Central Monitoring Unit.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of electocardiography.
Ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and detect heart rhythm and rate variations.
Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and understand the importance of this support role to the patient care staff.
Ability to understand the relationship between central monitoring and the patient care units so that appropriate information is given to the patient care areas in an efficient and timely manner.
Preferred Job Requirements
Monitor Tech, EKG, Patient care experience.
