We’re hiring a Data Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity on a team that owns both the data platform and the pipelines that feed it. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys building reliable pipelines, shaping how data is structured and modeled for business use, and contributing to platform governance and architecture decisions.
The environment follows a medallion‑style architecture (bronze / silver / gold), so experience with data curation, transformation, and modeling is important.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines that ingest data from a variety of sources (APIs, operational systems, files, event streams, etc.)
Design and implement high‑quality data transformations aligned to a bronze/silver/gold framework
Develop and maintain Snowflake‑based data solutions, including curated and modeled datasets for business consumption
Write clean, maintainable Python code for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and automation tasks
Implement cloud‑based pipeline components using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3)
Partner with analytics and business stakeholders to ensure data is structured and modeled for usability and scalability
Contribute to platform governance (standards, observability, documentation, access controls) and participate in architecture decisions
Improve reliability, performance, and cost‑efficiency across pipelines and the Snowflake environment
Required
Hands‑on experience building pipelines and analytics‑ready datasets in Snowflake
Strong Python scripting skills (production‑quality code)
Experience working with APIs (integration, parsing, error handling, automation)
Practical experience in AWS, specifically services such as S3, Lambda
Experience designing or working within a medallion architecture or a similar curated/layered approach
