Low Voltage Integration and Security Technician.

Reports to:

Superintendent, General Foreman, Project Manager.

Location:

Dayton, Ohio.

FLSA Status:

Full-Time / Non-Exempt.

Summary:

CRT is looking to expand our workforce and welcome those with 5 or more years of experience in low voltage cabling and/or security fields. Excellent benefits, paid health insurance (no cost to you), and retirement plan are provided.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling systems.

Implement, activate, and support CCTV, Access Control, Video Management, and intrusion systems.

Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, test equipment.

Read project drawings, specifications, submittals and develop project implementation plans.

Utilize Excel, Word, Outlook, and associated business applications to communicate and document project details.

Maintain and enforce safety requirements and support the organization’s safety efforts.

Accomplish work in accordance with expectations and ensure national and local codes and industry standards are maintained.

Provide updates to as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.

Attend and hold Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to other recommended topics such as harassment prevention and ethics.

Obtain OSHA 30 Safety and Health Standards certification.

Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

Education and Experience

5 years of field experience performing low voltage and/or security systems.

BICSI certification desirable but not required.

High School diploma or GED required.

Valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements The physical demands of this job include walking, using fingers and hands, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, standing, occasionally sitting, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to move or lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights, and be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools.

Work Environment Work may be conducted outdoors and be exposed to wet/humid conditions, mechanical and electrical parts, high or precarious places, dust, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme temperatures, and risk of electrical shock and vibration. Noise levels are usually moderate to loud.
