We are seeking a
Level 1 Inspector
to join our Birmingham, AL team.
Job Responsibilities Includes but is not limited to:
Follow standard procedures in documenting construction projects and inspecting job activities to verify compliance with project plans and specifications.
Complete a daily report documenting labor and equipment used by contractor, describing work performed and any pertinent conversations with contractor.
Assist with office work such as plotting cross‑sections and computing earthwork quantities.
Report directly to Senior Inspector and/or Project Manager.
Minimum Requirements Some experience in construction inspection, surveying or highway materials testing and inspection is preferred. One or more of the following certifications as required by the Region Engineer are needed. Inspectors performing a specific task must be certified in that field.
Asphalt Level I Laboratory Technician Certification
Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT Certification)
Roadway HMA Pavement Technician Certification
Work Zone Safety Certification
Radiation Safety Technician Certification
Contract Plan Reading Certification
