Front Street Shipyard
Bring your diesel mechanical skills to Front Street Shipyard and work on boats of all sizes and models. We are seeking a skilled and motivated diesel engine mechanic who has hands‑on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel engines. You'll be working on and installing inboard and sterndrive engines, including new, state‑of‑the‑art equipment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality service to ensure the safety, performance, and reliability of customer vessels.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues in marine engines and related systems.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, fuel system servicing, cooling system flushes, and tune‑ups.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain propulsion systems, steering systems, and related components.
Conduct sea trials and performance tests to verify repairs and adjustments.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings/recommendations to customers and supervisors.
Stay up‑to‑date with manufacturer service bulletins, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
Follow safety standards and environmental regulations for handling fuel, oil, and hazardous materials.
Marine‑specific experience is preferred, but we’ll train diesel mechanics from other sectors. This is a full‑time, year‑round, benefits‑eligible position. Please apply online or email your resume.
