Field Applications Engineer (FAE) – Amphenol Communications Solutions
Location: Austin, Texas (remote with travel) – Seniority: Entry level – Employment type: Full Time – Salary: $80,000–$160,000

ACS designs and manufactures connectors and cable assemblies for servers, storage, data centers, mobile, RF, networking, industrial, business equipment, and automotive applications.
Responsibilities
Serve as an engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle including discovery, design, prototyping, and production.
Provide technical marketing support for the development and design‑in of commercial products (power, memory, storage, internal IO).
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and develop customer‑specific application material.
Provide customer support for technical inquiries and deliver solutions to address customer concerns.
Help devise strategies to differentiate ACS products and solutions from competitors.
Meet and exceed strategic objectives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
2+ years of design or applications engineering experience with electrical hardware components or interconnect solutions.
Experience providing product marketing and technical support to produce design wins.
Skills
Excellent communication across organizational hierarchies.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport.
Proficient in modeling tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
Strong organizational and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work autonomously.
Curiosity and willingness to learn about new technologies.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
