Our client, a leading distilling and food ingredients manufacturer, is seeking a Distillery Process Engineer to join their team. The engineer will work with the Engineering & Operations team, supporting distillery operations, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills, cross‑functional collaboration abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Job Title Distillery Process Engineer
Location Topeka, KS
Pay Range $75,000 + Bonus
Responsibilities
Support and optimize daily distillery operations to meet performance, quality, and reliability targets
Troubleshoot process, quality, and operational issues and implement corrective actions
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as GAP analysis, ZBA, and time studies
Manage and support capital and expense projects, including documentation and startup support
Oversee new equipment and product startups, ensuring processes meet requirements and transition smoothly to production
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
5+ years of ethanol or distillery process experience (milling, fermentation, distillation, dryhouse)
2+ years of project management experience
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with physical demands
