Description The Construction Project Manager supports the Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) Project Manager or Program Manager to oversee day-to-day operations from pre‑construction through project completion and warranty periods. The role is responsible for managing construction project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff and other duties required to execute EPC, Construction Management, Construction, and Program Management projects.

Responsibilities

Adhere to and promote the company’s safety programs, trainings, and policies, managing the Safety & Health performance of the project team and subcontractors.

Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities for one or multiple projects simultaneously.

Provide direction for project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development and establish critical project objectives.

Develop new and manage existing client relationships and interface with the client for proposals and project related items.

Participate in internal and external project risk reviews; consult with Legal Department as needed.

Negotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.

Implement assigned sections of the Project Execution Plan (construction execution, quality assurance, safety & health plan, subcontracting plan, staffing plan, organization chart, procurement plan).

Develop construction staffing plans and train project teams; coordinate multiple global practices/disciplines to use staff cost‑effectively.

Oversee the development of site layout, mobilization, and demobilization plans and support implementation.

Verify all applicable project permits are secured per requirements.

Direct downstream RFP and bid process; prepare detailed scope of work for subcontractor and client contractor contracts.

Review, approve and communicate internal and external reports (budgeting, cash flow forecast, status reports) and present to the Project/Program Manager and executive management.

Collaborate with engineering to schedule and deliver engineering deliverables.

Manage downstream contract administration (RFIs, submittals, change management, closeout, documentation, claims mitigation).

Oversee invoicing for prime contract, subcontractors, and client contractors.

Coordinate and facilitate client, supplier and company commissioning and startup teams.

Audit and oversee project documentation; confirm insurance, taxes, licensure and bonding requirements.

Perform safety, quality, progress and financial audits and assessments.

Participate in the project‑specific non‑conformance reporting process.

Facilitate project cost reporting, scheduling, WBS establishment, set‑up, closeout and field progress tracking.

Oversee materials receiving and management (inventory control, receipt of goods, storage, transport).

Review contract documents with field staff to verify subcontractor and client‑contractor compliance.

Direct project turnover documentation, warranty administration, closeout and record‑keeping.

Support communication with governmental, industry and public entities.

Review construction field reports.

Mentor and train interns, construction coordinators, craft supervision and assistant project managers.

Provide performance feedback to team members as requested by Department Managers.

Manage community and building trades relationships; develop and implement labor agreements.

Onboard craft/field supervision as required.

Determine composite crew rates for labor and equipment costs.

Manage labor burdens, craft classifications, benefits and labor laws; maintain classification records.

Establish craft competency and training standards; forecast and manage craft install unit rates.

Manage earned value, schedule, change management and cost metrics.

Mentor craft training and promote advancement opportunities.

Manage construction equipment inventory.

May be assigned to a project site based on requirements.

Comply with company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 7 years relevant project management experience in the construction industry (degree requirement may be substituted with applicable experience).

Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access).

Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.

Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Multiple years of experience on construction project sites or executing program management in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water.

Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Must be able to meet the company’s driving requirements.

Compensation $145,000.99 – $250,000.00 per year.
