Role Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Lathe Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. This on-site role is located in New London County, CT. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC turning centers (Y axis lathes, swiss, 9 axis mill-turn) to manufacture high-quality custom fishing products. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, programming machinery, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring precision in every piece. You will play a critical role in maintaining the quality standards that define Winthrop Tackle.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Machine Operation, Machining, and the use of CNC Machining technology
Strong skills in Milling and operating various Machining Equipment
Experience in Quality Control processes to ensure precision and adherence to specifications
Familiarity with the setup and maintenance of Machinery
Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar role preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in machining is advantageous
