Babylon Dental Care is a foundational provider of general, specialty dental services and Sleep/Airway Disorder treatments. We are a private, community‑focused practice that values excellence, compassion and unmatched patient care. We are seeking an Insurance Coordinator to energize both our Insurance and Front Desk teams at our Great South Bay location.

Daily Responsibilities
Educate patients on treatment plans and associated fees, clarifying any misunderstandings.
Explain dental insurance benefits and potential out‑of‑pocket costs; collaborate with Patient Coordinators.
Monitor pre‑determinations sent to insurance companies and ensure timely return.
Coordinate with Financial Team and Patient Coordinators to collect balances at return visits.
Maintain up‑to‑date email communications throughout the day.
Manage denied or rejected claims, address barriers to secure payment.
Assist providers with documentation required for timely claim payment.
Help Front Desk team advance their knowledge of insurance billing.
Mentor new team members when appropriate.
Collaborate with the entire practice to meet or exceed monthly goals.
Generate and review reports as directed.
Support provider re‑credentialing when needed.
Follow up on outstanding claims to secure payment.
Accurately record insurance payments.
Verify eligibility and benefits for ortho and dental patients.
Transmit insurance claims and pre‑authorizations manually and electronically.
Work toward reducing accounts receivable.
Close out and balance at end of each night.
Requirements
Three or more years of dental insurance billing experience; general practice preferred, orthodontic billing a plus.
Flexibility for a 6‑day schedule, including early and late hours, with alternate Saturdays.
Exceptional hospitality‑inspired customer service in a fast‑paced practice.
Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through.
Strong math skills for accurate calculations and understanding of EOBs.
Positive, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanor; effective communication about sensitive financial matters.
Teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with diverse staff.
Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish welcomed.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
College degree preferred.
