Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager
Department: Finance / Revenue Accounting
Reports To: Director, Revenue Accounting / Controller
Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager oversees all AR functions, including guest ticketing revenue, group sales, events, sponsorships, memberships, and corporate billings. This role ensures accurate and timely recording of all revenue streams, supports cash flow forecasting, drives AR process improvements, and leads a high‑performing team that supports both on‑site park operations and centralized finance functions.
Key Responsibilities Revenue & AR Operations
Oversee daily AR processing related to ticket sales, season passes, in‑park spending, online sales, and B2B group bookings.
Ensure accurate reconciliation of ticketing systems, POS systems, and cash management platforms (e.g., Accesso, OmniPOS, Gateway, etc.).
Manage invoicing, billing cycles, credit memos, collections, and payment applications.
Partner with Group Sales, Events, and Marketing teams for contract billing and revenue recognition.
Own aging reports and drive collection strategies to minimize DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
Controls, Compliance & Reporting
Maintain strong internal controls around cash, deferred revenue, and guest payments.
Ensure compliance with company policies, state/federal laws, and audit requirements (internal & external).
Prepare AR‑related financial reporting for month‑end close, revenue forecast, and executive dashboards.
Support annual budget, year‑end audit, SOX compliance, and tax requirements.
Systems & Process Improvement
Serve as AR system owner or SME for ERP and ticketing integrations (e.g., Workday, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.).
Partner with IT and park operations to streamline reconciliation workflows, automate reporting, and reduce manual processes.
Identify opportunities to improve guest experience related to billing, refunds, chargebacks, and payment dispute resolution.
Leadership
Lead, train, and develop an AR team (coordinators, specialists, analysts).
Set clear performance expectations and service standards for internal park teams and external customers.
Foster a culture of accuracy, urgency, accountability, and guest‑first service.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of AR experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Strong knowledge of GAAP revenue recognition and AR lifecycle processes.
Advanced experience with ERP systems and high‑volume transactional environments.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Preferred
Experience in theme parks, attractions, hospitality, entertainment, or high‑volume ticketed venues.
Experience with ticketing/POS systems and deferred revenue accounting.
Familiarity with chargeback processing, PCI compliance, and guest refunds.
CPA, CMA, or similar certification a plus.
Financial accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, guest‑focused environments.
Strong communication and cross‑functional partnership skills.
Process mindset with continuous improvement focus.
Leadership with coaching and team‑building skills.
