Merchandise Analyst
Hybrid position at 253 America Place, Jeffersonville, IN. Must live within 35 mile radius of office.
Position Overview Merchandise Analyst reports to the Merchandise Planner. The role optimizes product flow from purchase to supply chain, manages inventory, allocation strategies, and supports business initiatives to drive results for the Merchandising department.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive sales and margin through inventory management across merchandise categories.
Build, develop, execute, and maintain allocation strategies to maximize sell‑through and profitability.
Analyze item and program productivity to meet store turn and weeks of supply goals; create tiered assortment for pre‑buy strategies.
Manage execution of initial and replenishment allocations by store to optimize sales, margin, and inventory turn.
Additional Duties
Analyze store inventory at style/size level, identify over/under performers, out‑of‑stocks, and provide suggestions to planners and buyers.
Develop and rescale models based on sales trend, opportunity, size optimization, and inventory availability.
Plan new and remodeled store opening assortments and create models to maximize sale plans.
Monitor new store business and ensure sufficient inventory levels post‑opening.
Maintain replenishment parameters in the Imagine system.
Provide attribute and cluster management for store groups across all distribution channels.
Maintain inventory levels in the DC.
Manage clearance store assortment and end‑of‑season consolidations.
Participate in development and roll‑out of technology advancements and process improvements.
Build effective cross‑functional relationships and influence business decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience.
Detail oriented with elevated accuracy.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to effectively influence and negotiate.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Independent work with strong time management.
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft suite.
Ability to travel up to 5%.
