We are seeking a
driven and detail-focused Materials Planner
to support our fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility in Albion. In this highly visible role, you will ensure the seamless flow of raw materials and components that keep our production lines running on schedule. You will collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and purchasing to proactively maintain inventory levels, prevent shortages, and support on-time delivery for our customers.

What You will Do
Develop, execute, and adjust material plans aligned to production schedules and forecasted demand.
Monitor daily inventory levels, ensuring adequate safety stock and preventing shortages or excess materials.
Release, track, and manage purchase orders with suppliers; expedite delivery when required.
Evaluate supplier performance, identify risks, and elevate issues to maintain continuity of supply.
Partner closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Quality teams to align material flow with operational needs.
Maintain accurate ERP/MRP system data, including lead times, order quantities, and replenishment parameters.
Provide timely reporting on material availability, upcoming risks, inventory trends, and delivery status.
Participate in problem‑solving activities, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives tied to inventory, materials flow, and supplier reliability.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in materials planning, production control, or supply chain;
automotive or high-volume manufacturing strongly preferred .
Proven experience working with ERP/MRP systems to manage orders, inventory, and forecasts.
Strong analytical skills combined with initiative‑taking communication and exceptional follow‑through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and work with urgency in a fast‑moving environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across teams and with suppliers.
