Base pay range $56.48/hr - $68.71/hr

Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Strategic Planning & Risk Analyst III will lead the development and implementation of enterprise risk policies, conduct audits and assessments, and manage mitigation activities. The role includes training delivery, oversight of risk documentation, and continuous improvement of risk practices aligned with industry standards.

This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay rate: $56.48 - $68.71

Sick Leave:

One hour of paid sick leave for every 40-hours worked (sick leave can be used after 90-days of employment)

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain policies and procedures for identifying, assessing, and managing enterprise risks and internal controls.

Establish and promote the use of risk management methodologies, tools, and techniques across the organization.

Collect, evaluate, and maintain data related to risk assessments, controls, and mitigation activities.

Conduct risk assessments, audits, and control evaluations; prepare and present comprehensive reports on findings.

Perform follow‑up activities to ensure timely and effective resolution of audit findings and mitigation actions.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management program and recommend enhancements.

Collaborate with business units to improve risk management capabilities, develop risk registers, and compile data.

Coordinate and communicate with executive contacts on risk and audit matters.

Provide oversight and guidance to matrixed team members, contractors, or temporary staff supporting risk or audit‑related activities.

Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs to promote a strong risk culture.

Maintain audit and risk documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory retention requirements.

Ensure continuous improvement of risk practices aligned with industry standards and best practices.

Conduct special studies, projects, or initiatives as assigned, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality outcomes.

Perform special assignments using experience and education.

Conduct benchmarking studies for business‑related issues.

Support the biennial refueling outage as required.

Requirements:

Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of working experience in Business, Strategy, Risk, Audit or other relevant field

OR an AA degree and 9 years of working experience in Business, Strategy, Risk, Audit or other relevant field

OR a High school diploma or GED and 11 years of working experience in Business, Strategy, Risk, Audit or another relevant field.

Familiarity with risk tools and software (Safran experience desirable).

Experience in energy and nuclear power generation business processes including work management, operations, human resources, finance, accounting, project management, risk, audit, and/or strategic planning.

Demonstrated ability to make decisions, ensure effective basis for decisions, and effectively communicate decisions and their associated purpose and impact.

Demonstrated ability of being highly proactive and driving timely closure.

Demonstrated ability of assessing lessons learned both personally and within the area of responsibility and taking action to close identified gaps.

Ability to identify risks associated with a project, process, and/or task using a standard‑based approach.

Ability to design and/or evaluate mitigation strategies and internal controls for effectiveness.

Ability to provide insight/input into proper risk tolerances, prioritization, and mitigation.

Ability to manage and track progress against assigned work products for periodic status meetings (for self and others).

Well organized and able to manage workload in a constantly changing environment.

Demonstrated focus on developing quality work products including audit reports and Executive Board presentations.

Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve problems, remove barriers, make decisions, improve work processes, and develop self.

Ability to identify, review, and apply existing audit standards, accounting standards, and State and Federal requirements to all audit activities.

Ability to establish credibility and articulate ideas to gain consensus or rally support; guide individuals or groups toward task accomplishment; maintain group cohesiveness and cooperation; confront issues honestly; facilitate group processes; influence and be influenced by others; assess skills, feelings, concerns, and needs of others; and model enthusiasm, competence, and commitment to quality and growth.
