Municipal Law Attorney – Governance, Land Use & Litigation | Grand Rapids, MI
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Represent public bodies on governance, land use, zoning, and ordinance enforcement matters
Advise clients on property tax issues and public utility systems
Handle municipal litigation and related defense matters
Attend municipal meetings and provide practical legal counsel
Manage multiple projects while working directly with public‑sector clients
Qualifications
3–8 years of experience practicing municipal law
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Michigan
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong communication, client management, and organizational abilities
