We’re looking for a Quality Inspector who brings a hands‑on mindset and sharp attention to detail to ensure every component and assembly meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Job Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying the fit, finish, and function of machined parts, welded frames, and mechanical assemblies. You’ll inspect components at various stages of production, identify defects or deviations, and work closely with our fabrication, machining, and assembly teams to ensure our systems leave the shop floor built to spec and ready to perform.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect machined and welded parts, and mechanical assemblies for conformance to engineering drawings and job requirements

Use standard inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures, angle finders) to check dimensions, tolerances, and features

Verify mechanical assemblies for movement, mounting accuracy, fastener torque, and alignment of critical system elements

Review blueprints, job travelers, and shop drawings to understand part and assembly requirements

Complete inspection reports, mark non-conformances, and communicate findings to the team

Review documentation, processes, and compliance with standards

Identify nonconformances and recommend corrective actions

Support continuous improvement by reporting recurring quality issues and contributing ideas for process enhancements

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Industry certifications a plus.

5+ years of experience in mechanical inspection, assurance, CNC machining, fabrication, or mechanical assembly

Ability to read and understand technical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances

Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools

Preferred Skills

Experience in a job shop or custom automation environment

Familiarity with mechanical systems

Exposure to ERP or quality tracking systems for documentation

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections

Team player with good communication skills and a proactive mindset

Comfortable working in a custom manufacturing environment
