About the Job Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work—whether modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics—is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you focus on the details while finding creative ways to take on big‑picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you’ll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking, and control processes. You’ll provide senior‑level management with insightful recommendations, planning, and reporting support.

Our team seeks to enable and empower Google’s Engineering and Infrastructure leaders to steer the technology and R&D roadmap toward financially optimal outcomes via scalable processes, quantitative analysis, strong FP&A governance, and the translation of complexities into actionable insights.

As the Silicon Financial & Competitive Analysis Senior Analyst, you will play a critical, cross‑functional role at the intersection of finance, engineering, and supply chain. Your primary mandate will be to drive a deep, competitive understanding of the silicon manufacturing and supply‑chain landscape (e.g., custom TPUs, CPUs, and accelerators) to inform long‑term financial strategy and market positioning.

You will be the go‑to expert for quantifying the cost and competitive implications of silicon design, fabrication, and post‑fab processes. This role requires an individual who can model the economic relationships between design choices, manufacturing techniques, supplier agreements, and final product delivery.

Google’s US base salary range for this full‑time position is $137,000–$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Pay is determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Drive accountability and clarity by relentlessly pursuing the root causes of financial and operational issues, partnering cross‑functionally to quantify gaps and implement impactful solutions.

Shape Google’s future technology investments by architecting sophisticated multi‑year financial models, including NPV and TCO, and presenting critical economic insights that guide major engineering program decisions during high‑stakes business case reviews.

Pioneer financial innovation within the team, leading transformational projects to develop cutting‑edge, novel metrics for custom silicon and AI technologies, automating critical workstreams, and establishing consolidated, transparent program tracking.
