Job Summary/Description WCAX-TV is looking for a News Photographer/Editor. The job involves working with reporters or alone to produce news reports for TV broadcasts and digital platforms. We are looking for a professional with a strong interest in news and a zest for telling great stories through sound and images.
A successful applicant must be willing to work early morning or late evening hours, work outside in all weather conditions, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Duties/Responsibilities
Shooting and editing video for daily news stories.
Pulling and editing video from feeds and other sources.
Setting up and shooting live shots for news programs in all kinds of weather.
Working with reporters, producers, and anchors to develop story ideas.
Job Type & Shift Full-Time
– Mon. – Fri. (or at Manager’s Discretion)
Salary/Wage:
$21.50 – $26.50/hr.
Qualifications/Requirements
Advanced skills in video photography and familiarity with a range of professional video gear.
Advanced skills in non-linear editing processes for video and audio in a daily news environment.
An understanding of bonded cellular technology is preferred.
A working knowledge of a Windows-based environment.
The ability to carry 50 lbs of equipment.
