The University Annual Giving Team (UAG) in the Office of University Development (OUD), is excited to add an Annual Giving Alumni Donor Acquisition Specialist to the team.
Reporting to the UAG Associate Director, you will support the broader fundraising community by focusing their efforts on philanthropically re‑engaging alumni with the university. You will work across the university annual giving team to identify giving opportunities that may resonate with non‑donor alumni. You will create content and manage standalone solicitation efforts to support those efforts. Also, you will help to develop reporting that assesses the efficacy of current donor acquisition efforts and identify additional opportunities to engage the alumni non‑donor population.

Responsibilities*
Create, plan, and implement programming that identifies alumni non‑donors who have not made a gift to Michigan in at least the past six years.
Solicit the non‑donors through mail, email, and digital channels for support to areas they may have an affinity for, and steward them in the hopes they become repeat donors.
Help develop plans for donor engagement, pipeline development and solicitation improvement by working with teams and the community to help partners best leverage existing programming to increase new donor counts.
Provide annual giving expertise, including regular, value‑added analysis and program review.
Develop reporting tools and presentations to identify acquisition opportunities, advocate for acquisition investment, and highlight the importance of acquiring new donors to the fundraising community.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
One or more years of work experience in a professional environment with increasing levels of personal responsibility
Working knowledge of database software
Experience in a team environment
Modes of Work Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes .
Additional Information This is a full time, term‑limited position ending after two (2) years from the hire date
and is eligible for UM benefits. Before the end of the term limit, it could be considered for a term extension or for transition to an open‑ended position.
This is a hybrid role
requiring at least 2 days per week in office.
