This position will manage the execution of raw material sourcing, procurement, and supplier performance. Responsibilities will focus on the physical supply for CH Guenther’s milling assets, managing market risk, the sourcing, costing & pricing of raw materials, supporting quality, service, continuous improvement, and value performance across the supply chain in the direct support of CH Guenther & Son, Inc. and her operating divisions. The areas of focus are: CH Guenther & Son’s fats & oils, cocoa & chocolate, dairy products, sweeteners, and other items as required.Financial Risk Management* Responsible for the corporate financial exposure of raw materials relative to future cash flows* Maintain awareness of market conditions; create financial projections, and gain approval/buy-in with the construction and execution of various strategies to mitigate adverse market price volatility* Conduct weekly market updates with Management and others as needed* Accountable for actual vs budgetary & actual vs market performance* Report on physical and financial commodity positions* Develop budgets* Execute contracts & manage contract performance* Communicate expected costs* Update and manage SAP financial records* Resolve/communicate financial concerns* Accountable for market view and strategy development* Create supply & demand reports* Maintain CFTC and USDA databasesPhysical Risk Management* Responsible for managing/implementing various sales initiatives as they relate to procurement* Accountable for servicing both direct and indirect production facilities through the centralized procurement of raw materials* Manage grain receipts, contract application, and month-end reconciliations* Responsible for managing inbound rail tracking and demurrage costs* Accountable for physical supply issues to CH Guenther’s internal milling assets Accountable for supplier performance* Adherence to service commitments, specification commitments, and Continuous Improvement initiatives* Problem-solving, mediation, resolutionProject Management* Responsible for identification and execution of cost savings projects, sales, quality assurance, and research initiatives Responsible for identification of strategic partnerships the creation of appropriate supply agreements* Manage commodity service contracts* Issue tactical and strategic goals/objectives* Lead multidisciplinary teams to accomplish Continuous Improvement initiatives* Facilitate updates to communicate relationship results**Sales Support:*** Responsible for communicating market conditions, costings, and outlooks as needed**Minimum Job Requirements:****Education/Certifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree required: Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline preferred**Experience:*** Minimum of 5 years experience in grain or oilseed origination and risk management**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Understanding of truck/rail logistics management* Knowledge of production agriculture and farm profitability factors* Knowledge of grain futures, futures spreads, and basis relationships* Knowledge of grain quality management and its associated commercial opportunities* Knowledge of grain flows and ability to capture opportunities presented by the market* Practical interpersonal and strong written/verbal communication skills required* A proven track record of quickly identifying and resolving problem areas* Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required* Flexibility and adaptive to a rapidly changing environment* Strong Excel-based PC analytic skills required* SAP experience preferred* Travel- ~15% or as required**Expectations:*** Will demonstrate, promote, and exemplify the Company’s Core Values.At C.H. The salary range for this role is:$80,739.00 - $146,557.00Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.**C.H.
