Reports To: Market Leader Department: Field Operations
Job Summary The Church's Restaurant General Manager is passionate about providing guests with a high quality, value-oriented dining experience with friendly, quick, accurate service in a clean and safe environment. The RGM is responsible for all business activities in one restaurant location, specifically to provide a superior guest experience, achieve sales goals, control expenses, and create an engaged team culture.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Create an in-store service environment that exceeds guest expectations with regards to friendly, quick, and accurate service.
Build team understanding and commitment to guest service standards.
Communicate and follow up with guests to obtain feedback and identify service and food quality improvement opportunities.
Assist and resolve all guest complaints in person or by phone, applying the "listen, apologize, satisfy and thank" model.
Ensure all incoming calls are handled in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
Direct and conduct regular training with team members.
Provide regular feedback to team members and identify areas for improvement.
Work with direct reports to cross‑train and develop new skills.
Create a work environment where team members strive to do their best, are rewarded for performance, and have fun.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
Maintain a clean and safe restaurant.
Manage budgets and make adjustments as needed.
Ensure compliance with labor laws.
Understand, enforce, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Maintain restaurant inventory and ensure accessibility and organization.
Handle routine maintenance and repairs on all equipment.
Prepare and analyze operation reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience)
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum (1) year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
Successfully complete all training and achieve passing scores on all applicable tests.
Position Qualifications / Functional Skills
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Ability to work a minimum of 50–55 hours per week, including flexible shifts and weekends.
Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, operational and HR procedures.
Understanding labor cost reporting and operating statements.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally at all levels.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge of profit and loss statements.
Ability to implement policies and procedures.
Coaching, counseling, and developing employees.
Continual improvement of customer satisfaction.
Recruiting and interviewing potential team members.
Supervision and conflict resolution skills.
