Location: Elkhart, Indiana. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the college.
Major Responsibilities
Deliver non-credit Catapult Indiana Training course as assigned.
Instruct class at designated location in Elkhart, to meet specific training and skillset objectives for high schoolers and recent high school graduates.
Deliver instruction on a 10‑week, half‑day schedule of approximately 160 hours.
Teach directly from Catapult Instructional materials designed for this course.
Use equipment provided exclusively for the Catapult training.
Maintain records on student attendance, progress, and skills mastery.
Participate in training and professional development as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Expertise in Advanced Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, and the 5S Process, with the ability to convey knowledge through hands‑on instruction.
Competency with Safety protocols and Quality‑Cost impact; also with OSHA and environmental awareness.
Comprehensive understanding of the Kaizen methodology: Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, Improvement Implementation, Waste Reduction, Scale Solutions, Repeat cycles, etc.
Experience in assembly line production, preferably related to the automotive industry.
Understanding of Supply Chain/Logistics, related to supporting a Just‑In‑Time production line or assembly line.
Ability to give hands‑on instruction in a simulation lab, including the fundamental use of small hand tools and manufacturing parts, on a moving conveyor, and employee conditioning and injury prevention.
Instruction in the use of blueprints, technical drawings, measurement skills with micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Logistics Management, or similar, plus over five years of experience in management at a manufacturing facility.
Demonstrated conduct of all activities with appreciation and respect for the diversity of people, styles, and culture.
Compensation $50 per contract hour
