Academic Advanced Practice Providersious Disease Banner University Medical Center Phoenix Banner University Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to assist in providing clinical services to patients with infectious disease for our inpatient and outpatient setting. This provider will work closely with the lead physician on staff managing patients with chronic infectious disease. Needed to fill the HIV and antibiotic therapy volumes. Qualified candidate must be detail-oriented; dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations and be able to work independently. Critical care background is a plus. We welcome new grads with passion to learn and understand the science behind the specialty.

This position is involved in clinical management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, education, consultation, and research. This position requires working closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. The team offers strong mentorship and robust support staff. We are looking to expand to travel clinics, building a fellowship program and other areas beyond general ID care.

Position Details:

Monday-Friday 8a-5p, with some limited call

Inpatient/Outpatient

Required Qualifications:

Current Board Certification

Current Arizona Medical License

Critical Care training and experience a plus

Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS

Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
