Assistant Produce Manager – Sprouts Farmers Market
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Produce Manager to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. This role involves helping customers choose fresh produce, managing inventory, training the team, and ensuring a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities
Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
Maintain freshness standards throughout the department by following proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of a complete variety of items.
Lead a team in brainstorming to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience customers receive.
Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team.
Unload and sort store deliveries, operate, and maintain produce equipment.
Ensure execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and validate that other team members follow these procedures.
Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and supports continuous improvement.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age and basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
Dependable, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
Good communication skills; able to take direction and participate in a team environment.
Perform general housekeeping duties, clean and sanitize the department (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
Adhere to all safety, health, weights and measures regulations (COOL) and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
Capable of standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire workday and lifting, stacking, maneuvering heavy objects up to 50 lbs. over a distance of up to 3 feet.
Capable of using a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet, requiring a force of up to 85 lbs. for up to 5 hours.
