Job Description:
As a Security Guard – Access Control Specialist part‑time, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense. Your presence will deter security incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will provide exceptional customer service, act with integrity, and support a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
What You’ll Do:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access points to deter unauthorized entry and maintain the integrity of restricted areas.
Verify identification and credentials of personnel and visitors entering the premises, following established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, escalating issues when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to deter potential security concerns.
Document and report security‑related incidents, unusual activity, and/or breaches of policy to the appropriate Allied Universal contacts and site management.
Maintain a visible presence to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
A guard card or license (preferred).
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as required by law.
Criminal history review will be conducted in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state/local regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
