Information Specialist III - Auditor's Office

A public-facing role located in the Duluth Courthouse office, focused on providing excellent customer service to citizens and the public via phone, email, and in person. Key Responsibilities

Answer phone calls and in‑person inquiries regarding property tax status, explaining late fees, penalties, delinquent tax status, payment plans, and tax forfeiture. Process deeds, mortgages, and other land title related documents in paper and electronic recording form. Research recorded documents to maintain accurate owner and taxpayer information. Update taxpayer addresses and escrow account information from department requests. Perform statutory and MN Department of Revenue tasks such as processing mail‑in tax payments and sending county‑wide tax statements and letters. Qualifications

Five (5) years of full‑time paid clerical experience or equivalent education/experience. Proficiency in operating personal computer‑based systems and word‑processing software. Typing speed of 40 words per minute or greater from clear copy. Salary

$23.74 – $32.89 per hour (including longevity pay); normal hiring range for 2025. Benefits
