Description The college is accepting applications to build a pool of instructors for possible future part‑time assignments teaching
NURS 160 – Certified Nursing Assistant
(lecture and/or clinical). Instructors may be assigned to any campus or authorized facility and assignments may include days, evenings, or weekends.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize and teach assigned courses in an instructional field or discipline in accordance with approved course outlines, education code requirements and faculty contract provisions.
Provide feedback and guidance to students and evaluate student performance.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Profound knowledge of basic nursing skills, fundamentals of nursing, nutrition, gerontology, and home nursing (as taught in NURS 160).
Teaching or instructional experience preferred.
Residency Requirement: Must maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in California within 200 road miles of the regularly assigned district worksite, or meet the exception criteria outlined in MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800.
Compensation $89.79 to $105.04 per hour. Compensation is based on education.
Application Deadline Applications are valid through June 30, 2026, at which time they will expire. A new posting for this pool will appear on July 1, 2026, and those still interested will need to re‑apply at that time.
