Brickmont at Acworth is seeking a passionate, committed activities professional with extensive knowledge of dementia care. As the dedicated Dementia Care Director you will be responsible for coordination of programming of the Tempus Program (Dementia Care) at the community. This vital role involves managing daily operations, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and ensuring the highest quality of life for our residents living with dementia. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, motivational leader with a deep understanding of dementia care best practices and a genuine passion for enriching the lives of seniors in our community.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and oversee person-centered care plans tailored to the unique needs of residents with dementia.

Provide leadership and support to care staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to optimize resident care and well-being.

Monitor and evaluate care programs, continually seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Conduct staff training and development to enhance skills and knowledge related to dementia care.

Manage documentation, compliance, and reporting associated with memory care services.

Requirements

Proven experience in dementia or memory care within a senior living or healthcare setting.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team.

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

In-depth knowledge of dementia-related conditions, care techniques, and industry regulations.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing respectful and individualized care.

Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Proficient with technology and electronic health records.

Relevant certifications or training in dementia care are highly desirable.
