Position Summary The Route Supervisor is responsible for achieving sales, profit, customer service, and route optimization objectives through effective leadership. This role focuses on developing Account Managers, fostering strong recruiting practices, and implementing district initiatives that support corporate strategies and programs.
Position Responsibilities
Meet or exceed sales, route optimization, and profit growth targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Ensure monthly reporting and adherence to ancillary sales budgets within the district
Manage DSO and AR standards across the district
Oversee route optimization and monitor routing effectiveness
Maintain account retention within core business in the district
Manage individual routes as needed and support route coverage throughout the district
Recruit and staff the district with the right talent using effective sourcing and hiring practices
Plan, train, develop, and coach Account Managers
Manage the efficient placement, removal, and refurbishment of dish machines in the district
Establish clear district goals and sales targets through comprehensive planning and accurate forecasting
Understand, enforce, and support corporate policies and guidelines in a consistent, professional manner
Serve as a liaison between field sales, field service, and company headquarters.
Assist the Sales & Marketing team with the development and oversight of key accounts within the district
Maintain a professional image and promote corporate marketing and promotional programs
Complete all paperwork necessary to fulfill position responsibilities
Oversee and manager assigned warehouse
Position Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
1+ years of direct sales experience
2+ years of field management experience
Mechanical aptitude to install, repair, and maintain dish machine, laundry, and housekeeping dosing equipment
Ability to solve complex, multi‑disciplinary problems while considering short‑ and intermediate‑term impacts
Skilled in composing sensitive or non‑routine correspondence and reports requiring tact, diplomacy, and independent judgment
Ability to improve existing systems and procedures, generating innovative ideas or approaches
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver on time within budget
Effective verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization
Ability to prioritize goals and achieve results within defined deadlines
The Company State Cleaning Solutions, a division of State Industrial Products, is a rapidly growing sales and service provider. We serve the hospitality and healthcare marketplace by designing, implementing and maintaining cleaning and sanitization programs. Our customers include restaurants, hotels, care homes and institutions among many others.
