Territory Sales Representative

Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL

Employment Type: Full‑time – Entry Level

What You’ll Do As a Territory Sales Representative, you will generate new leads, sales, and upgrades within your assigned territory. You’ll master prospecting, referrals, partner relationships, and door‑to‑door canvassing, crafting and delivering face‑to‑face sales presentations that assess residential customers’ needs and close the sale.

You’ll Also

Build relationships with homeowner associations, multi‑dwelling unit managers, leasing agents, and other key contacts to generate sales.

Assist with training new hires, collaborate with other departments, and partner with leadership to uncover new growth approaches.

Occasionally install or disconnect customer telecommunication services, collect payments, and handle equipment.

Work non‑traditional hours to maximize customer contact opportunities.

Maintain the highest ethical standards, follow company policy, and act professionally on behalf of Cox Communications.

What’s In It For You Target annual amount: $63,496. This reflects a base salary of at least $31,000 with a target commission of $2,708 per month. Total compensation may vary based on location, experience, and sales performance and can exceed $92,387 for high performers. A two‑month ramp‑up period allows you to earn full commission while you adjust to the role.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Ability to obtain certifications and licenses required by state and municipal laws to sell Home Security.

Proficient with smartphones, iPads, and computers.

Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Capability to walk 1½ miles or more per day and navigate stairs within the territory.

Must be able to carry an iPad with case and a light bag with marketing materials for 5+ hours per day.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the local market with established contacts.

1+ year of outside/field sales or door‑to‑door experience with quota requirements.

Experience in residential direct sales, home security, or the telecommunications industry.
