Dakota County Lumber is a second-generation family‑owned and operated business whose core focus is to do good work so people can do good. Our goal is to create opportunities for people and empower them to do good in their communities. This position is based out of our Plymouth location.
Our clients are Pro Deck Builders, Professional Contractors, Custom Home Builders, and Interior Designers with a focus on Project Managers, Purchasers, and Framing Contractors in the Twin Cities Metro area that value efficiency, understand the cost of doing business, have a small business mindset, and value quality products. If you have experience working with this type of client – or want experience working with them – this role will be a great fit.

Prospect/Secure New Customers Assist in AR Collections Own Customer Relationship/Maintenance (Complaints/Issues) Own Project Timeline Current Customer Growth Follow Sales Process (Take‑offs, quotes, product selections)
We train our team to help them succeed and everyone on our team helps with our success. In your role you’ll be accountable to hit the following numbers each week.
Gross Profit % Trending Growth % Returns as a % of Sales AR Over 60 days %

This is a 100% commission based job. We will provide an agreed upon based salary while training and growing your book of business. The base salary will flip to commission based once you sell past your base number.
