Pet Care Attendant – At Home Animal Hospital
At Home Animal Hospital is hiring a Pet Care Attendant to join our compassionate boarding team. We offer a 4‑day work week, high‑energy environment, and a strong commitment to animal welfare.
Responsibilities
Assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals in the kennel.
Feed and provide water to animals according to their specific needs.
Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas.
Monitor and report any changes in animal behavior or health to the supervisor.
Walk dogs and provide exercise and socialization.
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or supervisor.
Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing animals.
Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, including answering questions and providing information about services.
Maintain a strong attendance record.
Qualifications
Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively.
Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Team‑oriented mindset with a quick learning attitude.
Experience using practice management software for scheduling boarding appointments.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.
