Overview The Radiology Technologist performs a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, supports other technologists, facilitates efficient patient flow, troubleshoots basic maintenance, participates in quality assurance, and adheres to expected imaging competencies. The role requires flexibility for other shifts and campuses as needed.
Responsibilities

Promotes exceptional physician satisfaction by providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians.
Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.
Appropriately adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age‑specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
Performs examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput within the scope of the Manager’s license(s), certification(s), and/or documented competencies.
Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required.
Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
Ability to follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate any problem(s) or issue(s) to the PACS administrator or Designee if needed.
Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; does appropriate follow‑up.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted equivalent required.
1 year of experience in a hospital preferred.
Basic computer experience required.
Radiography (R) by ARRT is required.
State Licensure required: Texas: MRT by TMB; Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE; New Mexico: RRT by MIRTP NMED.
BLS required.
Work Schedule PRN (Per Diem As Needed)
Licenses & Certifications
Radiography (R) by ARRT is required.
State Licensure required.
BLS required.
