New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers that specialize in providing safe, quality, and best‑in‑class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD"). Operating in over 70 treatment centers in multiple states, our team members are engaged in medication‑assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management of individuals living with OUD. We treat the whole person and address the underlying causes of OUD, providing a continuum of care that not only meets treatment needs but supports patients on their journey to recovery.
Job Summary The Area Clinical Supervisor will provide oversight of clinical staff and clinical compliance at assigned centers. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team—including Medical Director, Program Director, Nurses, and Counselors—to identify and meet the clinical needs of patients and assist in their overall well‑being.
Key responsibilities include providing clinical supervision to staff, auditing patient records, and training counselors when necessary.
Essential Functions
Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and Colonial Management Group rules and regulations within the allocated budget for each clinic.
Keep Colonial Management Group informed of any significant treatment events and make prudent recommendations to address them.
Guide staff to ensure completion of intake, admission, discharge, and aftercare paperwork.
Maintain accurate clinical charts that meet compliance and regulatory requirements; address deficiencies through training or appropriate disciplinary actions as needed.
Assist clinics in achieving and maintaining three‑year accreditation status through recognized accrediting bodies.
Assist each clinic with maintaining appropriate qualified staffing patterns; report recommendations to Program Director and Regional Director.
Provide clinical supervision hours to counselors seeking certification or licensure, as permitted by the state.
Offer feedback to Program Director and Regional Director regarding individual staff performance issues.
Oversee and supervise clinical staff as required.
Provide direct supervision and training to Treatment Services Supervisors and/or Coordinators.
Travel to multiple locations to provide face‑to‑face supervision based on counselor credentials and oversight needs.
Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation as required.
Ensure reading and understanding of the Policy and Procedures Manual.
Maintain compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA).
Obtain or maintain proper licensure and/or certification per state requirements.
Conduct clinical trainings relevant to counseling services.
Act in the best interests of the program and company, honoring, supporting, and protecting proprietary data and rights.
Perform other tasks as assigned by clinic, region, or corporate leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities Provide clinical oversight and supervision for all Treatment Services Supervisors, Treatment Team Coordinators, and Counselors within the assigned region in compliance with state regulations and standards.
Essential Qualifications Education / Licensure / Certification Master’s degree in a related field and licensure and/or state certification or the international IC&R‑C equivalent.
Required Knowledge Knowledge of methadone, general clinical supervision and counseling practices, federal confidentiality law, HIPAA, and ethics. Must be computer‑literate and have basic knowledge of all Microsoft products.
Experience Required Minimum of five (5) years in a related clinical supervisory role.
Skill and Ability Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of multitasking and prioritizing. Dependable, reliable, and dedicated.
Physical Demands / Work Environment Finger Dexterity Use primarily for writing, operating a calculator, telephone, keyboard, and other office equipment.
Talking Ability to communicate with patients and fellow employees.
Hearing Ability to hear normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Vision Average, ordinary visual acuity needed to observe patients and work on a computer. Clear vision at 20 inches or less and distant vision at 20 feet or more.
Physical Strength Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Occasional standing, walking, bending or reaching required. Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
Working Conditions
Operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
Travel as needed to perform required face‑to‑face supervision.
Mental Activities Reasoning Ability Resolve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
Mathematics Ability Basic math skills required.
Language Ability Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports and business correspondence; present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, patients, and the general public.
