Education:
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program.
Licensure:
Active license to practice as a Speech‑Language Pathologist in Texas.
Certification:
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP).
Language Proficiency:
Bilingual skills required.
Your Role As a
Bilingual Speech‑Language Pathologist , you’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges and thrive in their educational settings. Here’s how you’ll contribute:
Evaluate Needs:
Conduct comprehensive speech‑language evaluations to identify students’ needs for specialized therapy services.
Communicate Findings:
Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
Develop Interventions:
Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education.
Provide Therapy:
Deliver therapy services directly or supervise Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals.
Monitor Progress:
Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
Support Team:
Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and support students’ special education programs.
