URGENT TEAM

is looking for dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant/X‑Ray Tech or Radiology Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Greater Knoxville area.

ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE:

Urgent Team’s convenient, walk‑in centers provide a range of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health wellness care. The centers are open seven days a week: Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m.–4 p.m. All Urgent Team centers are Accredited Care Centers under the Urgent Care Association, demonstrating commitment to safety, quality, and service scope. The Urgent Team Family of Centers provides quality and affordable family healthcare at more than 80 locations under eight brands.

JOB SUMMARY This position will perform X‑ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Promptly greet patients upon entry to waiting area, exam room, or laboratory / X‑ray room

Communicate wait times and provide direction to next treatment step

Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize and seek help in emergent/hazardous situations

Execute follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency

Assist front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary

Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, medical history, and other pertinent information

Assist with patient transfers

Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider

Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation for each patient visit

Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by attending physician

Perform necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques

Ensure equipment is functional and report any malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty

Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with support from educational resources

Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS Certification

State X‑Ray License

ARRT Certification preferred

Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
