What You’ll Do

Conduct rigorous scientific and market due diligence on covered companies, including channel checks and competitive intelligence gathering

Develop, update, and maintain sophisticated financial models that inform investment decisions

Prepare and assist in the timely publication of research reports and notes that influence institutional investors

Design and execute surveys with leading medical professionals to assess clinical and commercial opportunities

Interpret scientific publications, clinical trial data, and medical conference presentations to identify investment implications

Interact directly with corporate management teams and collaborate with our internal sales force

Conduct deep‑dive diligence on neurology or oncology franchises, rare disease programs, and innovative technology platforms

Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned

Experience and Skills

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; preferably in life sciences, or hold advanced degrees (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent)

1–3 years of relevant experience in financial services

Advanced Excel skills and superb quantitative capabilities

Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment

Self‑starter who excels working both autonomously and within team settings

Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to prioritize effectively with minimal direction

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance. At Wedbush, compensation decisions are determined on a case‑by‑case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
