JOB DESCRIPTION: Medical Center in South Carolina is seeking a BC/BE General Cardiologist to join its growing team to meet the increasing demand for cardiovascular services in the community. The physician will work closely with a collaborative team of cardiologists, nurse practitioners, and a strong primary care referral base to provide comprehensive cardiac care. About position:Primarily outpatient clinical role - with inpatient responsibilitiesOffice hours are Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm / Friday 8am-12pm36 patient contact hours / 4 admin hoursCall Schedule: 1:6 rotation for general cardiology callAverage Patient Volume: 18-22 patients per dayConsultative service only - hospitalists manage admissionsAdvanced diagnostic capabilities, including Echocardiography, Stress testing, Cardiac CT and MRI, 256-slice CT scanner for advanced imagingSupport from a full cardiac device clinic and a team of dedicated technicians HOSPITAL:What started as a small group of physicians in the late 1920s has grown into one of the county's largest employers today.
